Nokia 8 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage incoming

HMD introduced its first Android flagship, Nokia 8 last month, and the device started rolling out to select markets just recently featuring 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Now according to reliable tipster Roland Quandt, HMD will launch a beefier variant of Nokia 8 with more RAM and storage next month. The confirmation comes from HMD itself.

The source says, the upgraded Nokia 8 will have 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, and will release in Germany on October 20. It will carry a price tag of 669 Euros ($800 | Rs. 51,000), which is 70 Euros more than the standard model, and come in Polished Blue color. The same variant was spotted on FCC, which means it will also release in the U.S.

Apart from more RAM and storage, the upgraded Nokia 8 will pack the same features as the regular model. It will have 5.3-inch QHD display, Snapdragon 835 processor, dual 13MP Carl Zeiss camera with OIS, 13MP selfie camera, NFC, fingerprint scanner, 3900mAh battery and Android Nougat (upgradable to Oreo).

HMD has already confirmed that Nokia 8 will launch in India on September 26. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 45,000 and hit the shelves before Diwali (October 18). It will be interesting to see which Nokia 8 model will land in the country.
