Apple iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus pre-orders begin on Flipkart and Amazon India


Flipkart which now an authorized online seller for Apple products in India has started accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. As part of pre-launch offer, Flipkart is offering Rs. 10,000 cashback for Citibank credit card holders, and exchange offer, where you can exchange your old smartphone and get up to Rs. 24,500 and Rs. 37,500 off, respectively on the new iPhones.

For a quick price recap, the iPhone 7 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants are priced at Rs. 60,000, Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 80,000 respectively, while the iPhone 7 Plus 32GB, 128GB, 256GB storage versions are priced Rs. 72,000, Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 respectively. It comes in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver, Black and Jet Black hues. However, as expected, the limited edition Jet Black iPhones are out of stock, except for the iPhone 7 256GB version.

Apart from Flipkart, Amazon India (not authorized seller) has also started accepting pre-order for the new iPhones, but only select iPhone 7 models are currently available and the iPhone 7 Plus is out of stock. The e-tailer is also offering goodies with the new iPhones:
  • Additional cashback on HDFC Bank card between 1st Oct to 5th Oct
  • EMI Offer: No Cost EMI (September 30 to October 7), Get cashback of upto Rs. 8000 on Credit Card EMI as Amazon.in Gift Card.
  • Download and sign in to the Kindle app and get 80% off on Kindle eBooks, up to a maximum of Rs. 1000
  • Get 9GB additional data on purchase of 1GB from Vodafone with the iPhone 7
  • Amazon Prime – Get Rs. 500 Amazon.in Gift Card when you sign up for a year of Prime membership
The new iPhones are also listed on Infibeam, which has been Apple’s authorized online reseller for years. However, there’s no word when the pre-orders will kick off.

For those unaware, Apple unveiled the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at its annual fall event earlier this month. The new iPhones have water and dust resistant body and ditches 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of Lightning Earpods. They come with A10 Fusion chipsets, a new Force Touch-sensitve Home button and improved battery life. The iPhone 7 features 4.7-inch display and single 12MP rear camera, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus has a bigger 5.5-inch display, and is Apple's first phone to sport dual rear cameras (2 x 12MP units).
