Selfie-centric Oppo F1 launched in India for Rs. 15,900


China based Oppo launched the first F series smartphone in India, the F1, a photography-focused smartphone that has been designed for selfie lovers. It sports a premium aluminium unibody design with a slim 7.25mm frame. The alloy body is treated with zircon sand surface coating for a smoother finish that is softer to touch.

Since it's a selfie-centric smartphone, the Oppo F1 comes with some innovative imaging features, that enables users to snap quality selfies even in low light. It is equipped with 8-megapixel front facing camera, that comes with several software tweaks including Beautify 3.0 interface and eight live color filters. In addition, the display doubles as the flash to capture better selfies in low-light conditions. The 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture PDAF (phase-detection auto-focus) is accompanied by an LED flash and can record 1080p videos.

The Oppo F1 features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 protection and is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdrgaon 616 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and houses hybrid SIM slot that lets you use the secondary nano SIM slot as a microSD slot when required. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 2500mAh battery. 

Priced at Rs. 15,990, the Oppo F1 will be available in 8 cities in the country. (Surat - Feb. 4, Bangalore/Gurgaon - Feb. 6, Delhi/Pune/Chennai/Mumbai/Trivandrum - Feb. 6).  It comes in Rose Gold and Golden colors.
