Lenovo will soon be the latest smartphone maker to trim the bezels of its phone. The brand's upcoming smartphone with model number K320t was spotted on TENAA flaunting taller bezel-less display on the front.
According to TENAA, the Lenovo K320t will feature 5.7-inch HD+ display with 1440x720p resolution, which means the screen will have an aspect ratio of 18:9. It will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor, and come in two RAM/Storage variants: 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB. MicroSD card slot is also present on both models for storage expansion.
For photography, the phone will get dual-cameras at the rear, but there is no information regarding the resoltion. The front shooter is an 8MP unit. It will run Android Nougat, and pack a decent 3000mAh battery. Support for 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, fingerprint scanner is also on-board. Considering the specs, this should be a budget-friendly phone priced around Rs. 9,000.
The listing reveals that the Lenovo K320t will be offered in Black and Silver colors. Do note that, Lenovo K320t is not the final name of the phone, so it will hit the market with different moniker. However, the phone is likely to be part of Lenovo's K line up. Unfortunately the launch date is not know, but since it has received TENAA certification, an announcement can be expected soon.

The Lenovo K8 Note was launched in India back in August this year running stock Android Nougat. It was offered in two RAM/storage variants: 3GB/32GB at Rs. 12,999 and 4GB/64GB at Rs. 13,999. Now Lenovo has announced Rs. 1,000 price cut on both models.
After the price cut the 3GB/32GB K8 Note will be available at Rs. 12,999, and the 4GB/64GB K8 Note will cost Rs. 12,999. At the reduced price, both K8 Note models are available exclusively via Amazon India (Link) in Fine Gold and Venom Black colors. The price cut appears to be permanent.

Lenovo recently launched the Tab 7 budget tablet in India with voice calling capabilities. Now in the U.S, Lenovo has launched the Tab 7, alongside a more affordable model called Tab 7 Essential.
As a reminder, the Tab 7 offers 6.98-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735B/8161 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 5MP/2MP rear & front camera, 4G LTE and 3500mAh battery. It runs Android Nougat. In India, it is priced at Rs. 9,999, and is available from Flipkart.

The Lenovo Tab 7 and Tab 7 Essential has been priced at $79.99 (Rs, 5,000) and $99.99 respectively and is available for purchase in the U.S from the company website.

Lenovo launched the K8 series phones consisting of K8, K8 Plus and K8 Note in India earlier this year with dual-cameras and decent specs sheet. One of the plus point about these phones were they ditched Lenovo's Vibe UI skin in favor of pure Android Nougat. And the company promised upgrade to Android Oreo.
Now we have a possible time frame, and it's a bit disappointing. According to Lenovo's Android upgrade matrix page, Lenovo plans to upgrade the K8 to Oreo in June 2018, and K8 Note and K8 Plus in July 2018.
This means Lenovo K8 owners will have to wait nine months to experience Android Oreo on their device, which is disappointing given that the phones are relatively new in the market and runs stock Android, which makes it easier to push updates faster.

Lenovo has announced that the mid-range K8 will be available from offline stores across the country starting today for Rs. 10,499 in Venom Black and Fine Gold colors. The price is Rs. 500 less than K8 Plus, which offers dual-camera, Full HD display and improved overall performance.
The Lenovo K8 features 5.2-inch HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 processor backed by Mali T880 GPU and 3GB RAM. It comes with 32GB on-board storage, and it's further expandable via microSD card.

Lenovo has introduced two new thin and light Yoga series convertible at IFA show in Berlin: the 13-inch Yoga 920 with slim bezel and top-end specs and the compact 12-inch Yoga 720.
The Lenovo Yoga 920 features 13.9-inch IPS touch display and comes with the option of UHD/4K (3840 x 2160) or Full HD (1920 x 1080) It sports very slim bezels, and has a 360-degree watchband hinge, that lets you prop the device in four modes including laptop, stand, tent and tablet.
It runs Windows 10 Home and is equipped with 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor. The convertible can be configured with 8GB or 16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB PCIe SSD. Connectivity options include 2 x USB Type-C port (2 x Thunderbolt, PD, DisplayPort, USB 3.0 full function), a USB 3.0 port, 3.5mm audio jack and card reader.
The convertible also comes with some special features like, the voice assisted Cortana will be able to recognize your voice commands even in standby mode for up to four meters away. For this function it is equipped with Far Field microphones. It also has fingerprint reader that supports Windows Hello. Other features include HD cameras, JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos, backlit keyboard, stylus support (optional Lenovo Active Pen) and 70wh battery that promises up to 10.8 hours of battery life on the 4K model, and up to 15.5 hours on the Full HD model.

The Lenovo Yoga 920 will be available in October for $1,329.99 and up.

The Yoga 720 is a more affordable options, and weighs 1.15kg and measure 293 x 203.4 x 15.75mm. It features 12.5-inch Full HD display, and can be configured with 7th generation Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor, 4GB or 8GB RAM, and 128GB, 256GB or 512GB SATA SSD.
The connectivity options include a USB 3.0 port (Always-on Charging), a USB Type-C (DisplayPort + USB 3.0) and 3.5mm audio jack. It promises up to eight hours of battery life, and comes with HD web cam, and Dolby Audio powered Harman Speakers.
The Lenovo Yoga 720 will be available in October starting at $ 649 in Onyx Black and Mineral Grey color.
Acer, HP, Asus and Dell already introduced their Windows platform based Mixed Reality Headset. Joining the bandwagon is Lenovo with the Explorer. Its specs are almost similar to other models, but is priced little lower. It does not need a high-end PC to work with, and will preform fine in affordable budget PCs.
The Lenovo Explorer Mixed Reality headset has the usual dual 1440 x 1440 pixel display and dual-camera for inside-out positional tracking offering a "free and unfettered natural motion". It also does not have external sensors, which means it is easy to setup. Just connect the built-in Y-cable of the headset to the computer's USB port and HDMI output, and you're good to go.
The headset lets you move around in an area of up to 3.5 by 3.5 meters, which means within this space users can move around, hop, lunge, couch, and perform other actions.
There's also an optional motion controllers, but you can use the Explorer with an Xbox controller, Keyboard and mouse (to run Microsoft Office apps), or voice commands through Cortana. It also has the ability to run VR games and apps.
The standalone Lenovo Explorer is priced at $ 349, and the headset and motion controller bundle will cost $449. It will hit the shelves in October.
Lenovo and Google last year released Phab 2 Pro as the world's first Tango smartphone. It shipped with Android Marshmallow, and sadly it won't get an upgrade to Nougat. This was confirmed by Lenovo's update tracker page that lists devices that are expected get new update.
Not only Phab 2 Pro, but the entire Phab series have also been excluded from the update list, including Phab Plus, Phab2 and Phab2 Plus. While Lenovo is doing a bad job handling Nougat update, its subsidiary Motorola has pushed the update to all phones it released within the past two years.
That said, Lenovo has upgraded a few phones which have received positive response from customers like the Vibe K6, K6 Note, K6 Power, Vibe P2 amd Z2 Plus.
Going forward, the company has promised to push regular updates to its future devices, as it has ditched the Vibe Pure UI in favor of stock Android. It also confirmed that the freshly launched K8 Note will get Android O in the near future.

The Lenovo K8 Note is all set to launch in India on August 9. And now ahead of the launch, another unreleased member of the K8 family dubbed K8 Plus has passed through Geekbench benchmarks, revealing the processor, RAM and operating system.
As per the listing, the K8 Plus will be equipped with 1.69GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757D P25 processor, Mali T888 GPU and 3GB RAM. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Previosuly the K8 Note was spotted on Geekbench with MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core chip, 4GB RAM and also run Android 7.1.1. Sadly no other details of both devices are available. But the phones are most likely to feature Full HD resolution display and fingerprint scanner.
Lenovo has already confirmed that going forward, the company's smartphone will run stock Android just like Moto devices instead of Vibe Pure UI for a vanilla Android experience.
We should know more details about Lenovo's future plans on August 9.

One of the main highlight of Motorola smartphone is its software experience. It runs near stock Android, and has no bloatware. Now parent company Lenovo is following suit.
The company has confirmed that going forward it is ditching the Vibe Pure UI Android skin for its smartphone and switching to stock Android. What
this means is much like Motorola phones, Lenovo will not add any user
interface customization and bloatware over Android on its devices.
However some software enhancements like Dolby Atmos and TheatreMax will
be part of the software.
The upcoming K8 Note will be Lenovo's first smart phone to run Android 7.1.1. A Lenovo official said the move was motivated by customer feed back.
To recall, Lenovo started selling smartphones in India back in 2013, and the devices ran Android with Vibe UI on top. However, last year it re-branded the skin as Vibe Pure UI, which offered almost stock Android experience with customizable launcher and less bloatware, and shipped with K6 Power, K6 Note and K5 Plus.
We already know that Motorola is handling Android updates well, but Lenovo is lagging far behind. The benefits of running stock Android is that Lenovo will be able to push regular software update to its devices, when it's made available by Google. This also means that the K8 Note is most likely to get updated to Android O. The company also assures that moving forward, all K series devices will receive Android O.

Lenovo for the past few days have been teasing the launch of its upcoming K8 Note smartphone in India. Last week it confirmed the K8 Note will be launched on August 9.
And today it has revealed that the K8 Note availability will be limited to online channel, and will be available exclusively on Amazon India.
The K8 Note will be the first smartphone offering from Lenovo this year, as it has put most of its focus on Motorola. And since the K Note series is most popular in the country, it makes sense, the first smartphone offering of the year belong to the K Note line.
The K8 Note will be the successor of K6 Note, which was launched in late 2016 (Rs. 9,999), therefore skipping the K7 Note moniker. The reason for ditching 7 and using the 8 moniker is not known, but this hints at a possible dual-camera setup.
As for the specifications, the Lenovo K8 Note is expected to feature 5.5-inch Full HD display, deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor, 4GB RAM and fingerprint scanner. It will run Android 7.1.1.
