Archos Diamond Omega with bezel-less 18:9 screen, 8GB RAM announced


French smartphone manufacturer Archos has introduced the company's first ever top end flagship device dubbed Diamond Omega for European market featuring bezel-less 18:9 screen and dual front & rear cameras. 

That said, the phone is a rebrand of the recently unveiled nubia Z17S, so Diamond Omega has the same design and specs sheet. This the not the first time, Archos has taken this route. Earlier this year Archos unveiled two mid-range nubia devices under its branding for the European market.

Speaking of Diamond Omega, similar to nubia Z17S, the handset sports 5.73-inch Full HD+ IPS display with 18:9 aspect ratio for a near bezel-less design, and the screen has a layer of Gorilla Glass to keep scratches at bay. The screen occupies more than 85 percent of the the front panel, so the fingerprint scanner, which is usually embedded into the home button, is now at the back.

It equipped with Snapdragon 835 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and 3100mAh battery. It gets 23MP Sony IMX318 f/2.0 sensor with 2x lossless zoom + 12MP Sony IMX362 f/1.8 sensor at its rear camera department, while for selfie there's 5MP dual sensors that work in tandem and can blur the background of captured images. It runs Android Nougat based nubia UI 5.0 and supports USB Type-C port and Quick Charge 3.0. Color options are Black and Blue.

The Archos Diamond Omega has been priced at 499.99 Euros, and will be available in Europe in the second half of 2017.

Archos four new smartphones include nubia look alikes, a bezel-less phone, and rugged phone


French smartphone maker Archos has announced 4 new Android smartphones, including two new model for its Diamond series ― Diamond Alpha & Diamond Gamma ―, and two for its Sense line up ― Sense 55s and Sense 50x. The new smartphones ship with Android Nougat, have fingerprint scanners and will be available in Europe from July 2017.

Archos says the new addition to the Diamond line up are designed by ZTE's sub-brand nubia. Interestingly, they look like re-branded nubia phone. The Diamond Alpha looks like nubia Z17 mini, while the Diamond Gamma looks like nubia M2 Lite. The new Sense line up on the other hand boasts special features. The Sense 55s is a bezel-less smartphone, and the Sense 50x is a rugged device.

The Archos Diamond Alpha feature 5.2-inch Full HD Gorilla Glass display, octa-core Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage. For photography, it gets 13MP dual cameras with Sony sensors (one for RGB and one for monochrome), and 16MP selfie camera. It is fueled by 2900mAh battery. It has been priced at 299 Euros (Rs. 21,500).

The Diamond Gamma has a 5.5-inch HD IPS 2.5D display, octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB RAM and 32GBGB expandable storage. The camera department include a 13MP Samsung camera and 5MP front camera. It packs 3000mAh battery. It is priced at 199 Euros (Rs .14,300).

The Sense 55s' main highlight is its borderless display (screen to body ratio 78 percent), with bezels on at the left of the bottom chin. It also has dual-camera. The specs include 5.5-inch Full HD display, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, dual 8MP rear camera sensors and 3000mAh battery. It costs 249 Euros (Rs. 17,900).

Lastly, the Archos Sense 50x is a rugged smartphone and boasts IP68 rating for dust and water resistance for up to 30.  It is also able to withstand drops from up to 1 meter and temperatures from -20 degrees to +55 degrees. The specs include 5-inch Full HD Gorilla Glass 3 display, quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor, 3GB RAM< 32GB expandable storage and 3500mAh battert. The camera details are not known, while the price tag it carries is 169 Euros (Rs. 12,000).

Archos intros 50 Graphite, 55 Graphite with dual-cameras, Nougat and low-price tag


After unveiling the 10.1-inch 101 Saphir rugged 2-in-1 tablet, France based Archos has unveiled two new budget smartphones called 50 Graphite and 55 Graphite.

They are the company's first smartphone to boast dual-rear cameras, which is also the highlight, given the budget price tag. The 50 Graphite and 55 Graphite are equipped with dual 13MP+2MP cameras. Thanks to the ultra-wide angle the dual-cameras can capture sharper image with more details. It can also capture shallow depth of field "Bokeh" shots. The camera on the front side is a 5MP unit.

The Archos 55 Graphite features 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery.

The Archos 50 Graphite on the other hand is a lighter version of 55 Graphite and comes with 5-inch HD IPS 2.5 curved glass display, MediaTek MT6737 chip, 1GB RAM, and 16GB storage, which can expanded via microSD card. It packs 2400mAh battery.

Both phones run Android Nougat and include 4G LTE support, dual-SIM slots, USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner.

The Archos 50 Graphite and 55 Graphite will be available in June 2017, at a starting price of 130 Euros ($140 | Rs. 9,200). The phone will also be showcased at MWC.

Archos 101 Saphir 2-in-1 rugged tablet announced


Ahead of MWC 2017, France based Archos has introduced 101 Saphir, a budget 2-in-1 rugged tablet with detachable keyboard. Archos says the rugged tablet is designed for hikers, rider and outdoor workers. Thanks to the rugged design, the tablet can withstand water splashes (IP54 rating) and survive drops from up to 1 meter.

The Archos 101 Saphir features 10.1-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8163 processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage, which is expandable via microSD card.

It also gets 5MP/2MP cameras, USB Type-C port, micro HDMI port, dual speaker, WiFi, Bluetooth and built-in GPS. The tablet runs Android Nougat and features split-screen mode. A 6000mAh battery keeps the lights on.

The Archos 101 Saphir will be released in June 2017. The pricing is not yet known, but Archos says the tablet will be showcased at MWC 2017, Barcelona (Hall 6, Booth #B60).

Archos 133 Oxygen 13.3-inch tablet with octa-core Rockchip CPU announced


French smartphone maker Archos has expanded its Oxygen series tablet with the 133 Oxygen targeted at heavy multimedia users. The tablet will be showcased at IFA 2016, Berlin, alongside new Helium phones, 50 Saphir and 55 Diamond Selfie.

The Archos 133 Oxygen is the biggest tablet in the Oxygen family sporting a 13.3-inch display bearing the resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). It runs Android 6,0 Marshmallow and is powered by an 1.5GHz octa-core Rockchip RK3368 processor backed by PowerVR SGX6610 GPU and 2GB RAM. There's 64GB of on-board storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

It has 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, 2 x micro USB ports, USB OTG and a micro HDMI port.

Considering the large display size, the tablet packs 10000mAh battery, that is rated for around five hours of video playback time or 168 hours of talk time.

The Archos 133 Oxygen tablet will be available for purchase in November for £179.99 ($240). The company says the tablet will sell through its distribution channel worldwide.

Archos 55 Diamond Selfie with 8MP front camera announced


After launching new Helium phones and the water-resistant rugged 50 Saphir, Archos has now announced a new selfie-centric smartphone dubbed 55 Diamond Selfie.

As the name suggests, the 55 Diamond Selfie is targeted at selfie lovers. It gets an 8-megapixel front facing camera with Screen flash. The rear camera is a 16-megapixel unit with an auto-focus and an LED flash.

The phone sports Dragontrail reinforced glass and scratch resistant back side with metal accents. There's also a fingerprint scanner on the back for added security.

Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Diamond Selfie has 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor backed by Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 64GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card.

For connectivity, there's dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS. It is backed by 3000mAh battery, which is claimed to "go through the entire day".

The Archos 55 Diamond is priced at €199.99 ($222 | Rs. 15,000) and will release in September. There will also be a Lite model with 3GB RAM, 16GB storage for a lower €169.99 ($188 |Rs. 13,000) and will be available in October.

Water-resistant Archos 50 Saphir rugged smartphone with 5000mAh battery announced


After unveiling new Helium smartphones, French electronics brand Archos has launched another phone dubbed 50 Saphir. The main highlight of 50 Saphir is its rugged and water proof body. It also packs a huge battery.

The phone is IP68 certified, which means it can survice immersion in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The brand also claims that it can withstand falls from one meter.

The Archos 50 Saphir feature 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek quad-core MediaTek MTK6737 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs Android Marshmallow.

For photography, it is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel selfie camera. It supports 4G LTE and is backed by a massive 5000mAh battery, which can run for two days on a single full charge.

The Archos 50 Saphir will be availble in Europe starting October for €199  ($220 | Rs. 15,000).

Archos unveils 50f Helium, 55 Helium Android Marshmallow phones


French electronic brand Archos, known for their budget phones have announced two entry-level phones dubbed 50f Helium and 55 Helium running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The brand will also showcase both the phones at IFA trade show in Berlin next month. Both phones have microSD card slots for storage expansion, dual-SIM slots and support for 4G networks.

The Archos 50f Helium has a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with Adreno 304 GPU 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It will have an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing shooter. It also has a fingerprint scanner and is backed by 2000mAh battery. There will be even affordable model with just 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.

The 50f Helium 2GB RAM/32GB storage is priced at £99.90 ($131), while the lite version with 1GB RAM/ 16GB storage will cost £79.90 ($104).

The Archos 55 Helium has a bigger 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6737 processor backed by and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, with microSD card support for storage expansion. It gets 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel selfie camera. It is fueled by 2700mAh battery.

There's two more variants of 55 Helium – 55 Helium Ultra with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, while the other one is called 55 Helium 4 Seasons (specs same as Helium 55), that will come with customizable four interchangeable back covers such as Blooming  Gold,  Blazing  Yellow,  Autumn  Woodland and Frosted Grey colors.

Coming to the prices, the Archos 55 Helium costs £89 ($117), the 55 Helium Ultra is priced at £119 ($156) and price of Helium 55 4 Seasons is £100 ($131).

Archos Diamond 2 Plus, Diamond 2 Note phablets announced


France based smartphone maker Archos has added to more devices to its MWC 2016 product portfolio. The French company has announced the Diamond 2 Plus and Diamond 2 Note that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs powerful innards. 

Archos Diamond 2 Plus
The Diamond 2 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS 2.5D curved glass display with DragonTrail glass protection and is powered by octa-core MediaTek P10 processor with Mali-T860 GPU, 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage, which can be increased up to 128GB via microSD card.

Camera-wise, it is equipped with 20-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Laser AF and f/2.2 aperture, and on the front there is a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB Type-C supports. It is fueled by 3000mAh battery with Fast Charge support. There is also a fingerprint sensor and Hybrid Dual SIM slot on-board.
 

Archos Diamond 2 Note
The Archos Diamond 2 Note sports a bigger 6-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) IPS 2.5D display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 64-bit processor aided by PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.

For photography, there is 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, PDAF and can record 4K videos. For clicking selfie you get a 84-degree wide angle 8-megapixel front snapper. For connectivity there is 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support. Other features include Hybrid Dual SIM slot, Infrared LED for Remote support, and is fueled by a 3610mAh battery with Fast Charge support.

The Archos Diamond 2 Plus is priced at €249 / £199 / $229 ( Rs. 16,000), while the Archos Diamond 2 Note costs 299€ / £249 / $279 ( Rs. 19,000), and will go on sale in May.

The Archos Diamond 2 Plus and Diamond 2 Note will be showcased alongside the three Oxygen tablets and 50d Oxygen smartphone at the MWC 2016, Barcelona.

Archos announces new 7, 8, 10.1-inch Oxygen tablets with Android 6.0 Marshmallow


French electronics company Archos has announced three new tablets running Android 6.0 Marshmallow - 70 Oxygen, 80 Oxygen and 101b Oxygen. The tablets are wrapped up in a sleek metal design with aluminum rear casing, and come in only Silver color.

The Archos 70 Oxygen sports 7-inch 1080p IPS display and offers 3000mAh battery, 80 Oxyegn has a 8-inch 1080p IPS display and packs 4500mAh battery, and the 101b Oxygen has 10.1-inch 1080p IPS display and packs 6000mAh battery. Apart from the screen size and battery,  rest of the features are same.

The Archos 70 Oxygen, 80 Oxygen and 101b Oxygen are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek 8163A processor coupled with Mali 720 GPU and 2GB RAM. For storage there is 16GB inbuilt storage, that can be expanded via microSD card. The tablets are equipped with 5-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera, and supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity.

As for the pricing, the Archos 70 Oxygen is priced at £75 ($107 | Rs. 7,300), 80 Oxygen at £99.99 ($143 | Rs. 10,000) and the 101b Oxygen costs £119 ($170 | Rs. 12,000), and will be available from May 2016.

Archos 50d Oxygen, a $150 smartphone with 1080p display, octa-core SoC


France based budget smartphone maker Archos announced its latest addition to the Oxygen smartphone line, the 50d Oxygen. As per the brand the 50d Oxygen has "ultra slim and light, deep black body with a gold metal contour". 

The Archos 50d Oxygen features 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be further increased up to 32GB via microSD card.

It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording capabilities and 5-megapixel front facing camera for snapping selfies and making video calls. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 smart, USB OTG and GPS connectivity. A 2100mAh battery keeps the handset running.

The Archos 50d Oxygen is priced at $149.99 and will go on sale in May 2016. Archos will be showcasing the 50d Oxygen at Mobile World Congress 2016.

Archos Cobalt 50, Cobalt 55+ announced


Archos, in addition to the Power line up also introduced the Cobalt lineup, which is all about colors. Under the Cobalt lineup, the brand has announced the 50 Cobalt and 55 Cobalt +, which comes in either cobalt blue or dark grey colors.

The Archos Cobalt 50 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D Curved display and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6535P processor with Mali T720 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with dual Hybrid slot (SIM + SIM or SIM + microSD card). For photography it is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front snapper. Connectivity features include Cat.4 LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2000mAh battery keeps the device running.

The Archos Cobalt 55 + on the other hand sports 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS 2.5D Curved  display and is powered by 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6535P processor with Mali T720 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, which can be expanded via microSD card. It is equipped with 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, has dual Hybrid slot (SIM + SIM or SIM + microSD card) and supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2700mAh battery.

The Archos 50 Cobalt will cost €99 when it is release while the Archos 55 Cobalt+ will have a price of €149. They will go on sale in April.

Archos Power 40 & Power 50 promises long battery life


French brand Archos has introduced the Power range of smartphones, focusing on battery. Under the power range, the brand has announced two smartphones- the Archos 40 Power and 50 Power.

The entry-level Archos 40 Power features a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TN TFT display and is equipped with a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731C with Mali 400 GPU, 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. For imaging there is 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports dual SIM, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. The 1900mAh battery keeps the device running for two days.

The Archos 50 Power sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by quad-core MediaTek MTK6735 processor further aided by Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be topped via microSD card. It comes with 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front snapper. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by a 4000mAh battery. 

The Archos 40 power is priced at €49,99, while the Archos 50 Power will cost €129,99. They will be available sometime in May.

Sikur GranitePhone focuses on personal and corporate privacy, now available for pre-order

Brazilian security firm Sikur announced the availability of GranitePhone, a security focused smartphone aimed at protecting users data and maintaining privacy. The smartphone, which is manufactured by Archos, was initially announced at MWC.

GranitePhone is priced is now available for pre-order via granitephone.com for $849 till November 15, after which it will be priced $999. The shipping begins sometime in December.

The GranitePhone is designed with intrinsic safety from all layers of the device, eliminating privacy gaps, that may allow thefts, exposure or espionage of data. It offers high levels of encryption, corporate control and device management ensuring privacy on calls, messaging, documents and more. For instance, in case of theft or loss, users can remotely log onto the Sikur cloud and destroy all information of the handset. It also comes with application pack which is part of the built-in hardware.

The company in its press release states that the GranitePhone received attention of government, defence agencies, as well as private companies and individual users concerned for their privacy, generating solid pre-sales via the GranitePhone website. They claim that the smartphone is safer than the BlackPhone 2 which is now available for purchase as well.


GranitePhone runs Android based- Granite OS, which allows encrypted calls, messages and chats between GranitePhone and Sikur users. It features a 5-inch 1080p dispay and is equipped with 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB. There is 16-megapixel BSI camera at the back with LED flash and 8-megapixel front shooter. Fueling the device is a 2700mAh battery.

Besides GranitePhone, the security-focused smartphone segment has seen a couple of launches such as Silent Circle's Blackphone 2 and the 'unhackable, unbreakable and waterproof' Turing Phone.

Archos Diamond Plus with 5.5-inch 1080p display announced


Just a week ago, Archos unveiled it product portfolio which will be showcased at IFA trade show in Berlin. They include Archos 50 Cesium (Windows 10 Mobile), Diamond S and 50e Helium Android phones, Diamond Tab and Archos Flip convertible. Now the French based company has added a new product to the list.

Archos has announced Diamond Plus, its latest smartphone which will be showcased at IFA trade show. It is a larger Diamond S and comes with Full HD display. The phone comes with dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE support and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

Archos Diamond Plus bears 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali T720 MP3 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to 32GB supported). Camerwise, it sports 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front shooter. Apart from 4G LTE the phone also supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. It is fueled by 2850mAh battery.

The ARCHOS Diamond Plus will be available in November for £179.99 ($275 | Rs. 18,000)

Archos Diamond Tab with 7.9-inch display announced

French brand, Archos has a slew of products to show off at this years IFA trade show in Berlin, Archos 50 Cesium Windows 10 phone and Archos Diamond S, 50e Helium Android phones and Archos Flip, a convertible notebook. 

Now the company has introduced a new tablet, Diamond Tab. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and 4G connectivity with voice calling capabilities.

Archos Diamond S features 7.9-inch QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8752 64-bit processor with Mali T760 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. 

For imaging there is 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calling. Besides 4G LTE, it also supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Fueling the tablet is a 4800mAh battery. 

Priced at £179( US$ 275 | Rs. 18,250), Archos Diamond Tab will be available through Archos webstore in October. The tablet will also be showcased at IFA trade show in Berlin.

Archos Flip Convertible Notebook announced


French brand Archos introduced a new Hybrid laptop that can also be used as a tablet, Archos Flip that sports a similar design to Lenovo Yoga. It runs Windows 10 OS and can be flipped 360 degrees until the notebook transforms to a tablet.

Archos Flip features 11.6-inch HD touchscreen display with 1366 x 768 pixels and is equipped with Intel Atom X5-Z8300 Cherry Trail processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calling. On the connectivity front it supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0  and GPS. It is fueled by 8000mAh battery.

Archos Flip is priced at  €249 ($280) and will hit the market in November. The company will present the Archos Flip at the IFA trade show in Berlin in September alongside Archos 50 Cesium Windows 10 phone and Archos Diamond S, 50e Helium Android phones.

Archos Diamond S, 50e Helium Android phones announced

 French smartphone maker Archos also announced two Android phones, Diamond S and 50e Helium alongside the 50 Cesium. Both phones run Android 5.1 Lollipop and have dual-SIM support.

Archos Diamond S features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside there is an 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali T720 MP3 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to 32GB supported). Camerwise, it sports 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front shooter. On the connectivity front the phone supports 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by 2300mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB 2.0. It has dual SIM slots and is fueled by 2100mAh battery.

The Archos Diamond S is priced at £159.99 (US$ 251 | Rs. 16,500), the Archos 50e Helium costs £99 (US$ 155 | Rs. 10,000 approx.) and will be available sometime in November. Archos will showcase these smartphones at IFA 2015.

Archos 50 Cesium with Windows 10 Mobile announced

French Brand Archos has announced its first Windows 10 Mobile device dubbed 50 Cesium. It comes with Windows 10 Mobile features including Cortana, Windows personal assistant, Microsoft Office apps and more. The phone will be showcased at IFA 2015, Berlin, beginning September 4.

ARCHOS 50d Helium with Android 5.1 Lollipop, 13MP rear camera announced for $129

French brand ARCHOS unveiled its new budget friendly smartphone dubbed 50d Helium. According to the company the 50d Helium has a slim and elegant design.

The ARCHOS 50d Helim features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM. The phone has 8GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card slot and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Camera wise, it is equipped with 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with BSI Sensor and flash. On the front there is a 5-megapixel shooter. In terms of connectivity it comes with dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi, GPS/AGPS and microUSB 2.0 ports. It is fueled by 2100mAh battery.

The ARCHOS 50d Helium will go on sale later this month for £99 in Europe and the U.S for $129. It comes bundled with two soft, stone finished back cases in Storm Blue and Stone Grey.
