Archos Power 40 & Power 50 promises long battery life


French brand Archos has introduced the Power range of smartphones, focusing on battery. Under the power range, the brand has announced two smartphones- the Archos 40 Power and 50 Power.

The entry-level Archos 40 Power features a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) TN TFT display and is equipped with a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731C with Mali 400 GPU, 512MB RAM and 8GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card. For imaging there is 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports dual SIM, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. The 1900mAh battery keeps the device running for two days.

The Archos 50 Power sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by quad-core MediaTek MTK6735 processor further aided by Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be topped via microSD card. It comes with 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front snapper. The dual-SIM phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by a 4000mAh battery. 

The Archos 40 power is priced at €49,99, while the Archos 50 Power will cost €129,99. They will be available sometime in May.
