Archos 133 Oxygen 13.3-inch tablet with octa-core Rockchip CPU announced

French smartphone maker Archos has expanded its Oxygen series tablet with the 133 Oxygen targeted at heavy multimedia users. The tablet will be showcased at IFA 2016, Berlin, alongside new Helium phones, 50 Saphir and 55 Diamond Selfie.

The Archos 133 Oxygen is the biggest tablet in the Oxygen family sporting a 13.3-inch display bearing the resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD). It runs Android 6,0 Marshmallow and is powered by an 1.5GHz octa-core Rockchip RK3368 processor backed by PowerVR SGX6610 GPU and 2GB RAM. There's 64GB of on-board storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB).

It has 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio jack, 2 x micro USB ports, USB OTG and a micro HDMI port.

Considering the large display size, the tablet packs 10000mAh battery, that is rated for around five hours of video playback time or 168 hours of talk time.

The Archos 133 Oxygen tablet will be available for purchase in November for £179.99 ($240). The company says the tablet will sell through its distribution channel worldwide.
