Instagram adds face filters to live videos

Instagram is adding a new feature to its platform that will let you add face filters while sharing live video broadcasts through the app.

To add face filters in live video, tap on the face icon at the bottom right corner before or during the live broadcast. Then choose the filter you like and it will be added to the broadcast. 

All existing 15 face filters that are available for video and images are now available for live video broadcast as well. In addition a new "sunglasses" face filter will be available in live video next week. You can also change the scenery reflected in your lenses by tapping on it.

Once the live broadcast ends, you will have the option to share a replay to stories, or choose "discard", and the live video will disappear from the app.

Instagram says face filters in live video will roll out globally in the "next several weeks".
