Cicret - A wearable Bracelet that turns your Arm into a touch screen

A tech company in France recently unveiled the Cicret Bracelet, a smart bracelet that projects a touchscreen onto your wrist. It is a wristband equipped with proxmity sensor to detect where your fingers are, so they can interact with the interface just like any other touchscreen device.

The wristbrand is currently in prototype phase. The gadget also remotely hooks up to a smartphone and emits the interface onto the wearer’s arm, allowing them to read emails, play games, answer calls and check the weather on the surface of the skin.

The Cicret Bracelet is designed to run a standalone version of Android. Its features includean accelerometer, vibration mode and LED for notifications. It will be available in two memory models 16GB and 32GB, and 10 colour variants.  Connectivity features include Bluetooth, micro-USB port and Wi-Fi. 

The promotional video of the gadget has gone viral. So far it has amassed 3 million views on youtube. The video shows the physical interaction between users and product. A user swipes, pinches and tap their way through various application with their phone on their forearm while they are bathing, riding bicycle.
The Cicret bracelet is currently up for crowd-funding on its website. The device could cost upto $400 (Rs. 24,000) and reach the market within a year and a half.
