Apple To Release An Optional Stylus for 12.9-inch iPad Pro

"As soon as you have a stylus, you're dead," Steve Jobs told his biographer Walter Isaacson. Now with this new report from a KGI securities analyst, it looks like Apple is going against this vision of its late CEO Steve Jobs.

There have been rumors that Apple is working on a 12.9-inch tablet which is dubbed as iPad Pro. Now a new report states that the tablet will arrive with an optional accessory.

According To Ming-chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI securities, Apple is planning to to launch an optional stylus for its Apple iPad Pro. The stylus will be offered as an optional accessory. The stylus will charge via lightning connector.

Ming-chi Kuo wrote "Given that it's more precise than a person's fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use than the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. Therefore, we believe Apple's stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad."

Apple has sold stylus before but it was for Apple Newton, a PDA device that discontinued in 1988 which was a failure.

The rumored specs of Apple iPad Pro is said to have 12.9-inch display an A8X processor, 2GB of RAM, a Touch ID sensor, and iOS 8.
