Windows 10 Will Be Free Upgrade for Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows Phone 8.1 Users For One Year
Microsoft at its Windows 10 Press Event announced that all users running Windows 8.1, Windows 7 and Windows Phone 8.1 PC and devices will be upgraded to Windows 10 operating system.
Windows 10 which will be released this autumn, and will be available for one year as a free upgrade to users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1. This means Windows 10 is going to be a service or subscription based model with supported lifetime of the device. This new strategy is aimed to establish Windows on as many device as possible.
After the one year period, users will have to pay for the upgrade. Those who get the upgrade during the free period will have Windows 10 on their device permanently.
