LG Watch Urbane now comes with LTE and NFC support, ditches Android Wear
Few days after LG unveiled the Watch urbane, the South Korean giant has taken wraps off another version of the smartwatch, Watch Urbane LTE. It runs on LG's proprietary the new UX wearable platform, not the Android Wear that is compatible with Android devices running Android 4.4 and above.
The LG Watch Urbane LTE come with a voLTE voice calling support and supports NFC-based mobile payments. It has the same 1.3-inch (320x320) pixels P-OLED display and metal build.
It features three buttons on the side, Watch Urbane had one. These buttons could be used for quick settings and navigation. It offers a walkie-talkie style voice chat. You can also share your GPS location and translate foreign speech. The display is turned of automatically when you take it off your wrist.
The LTE variant of Watch Urbane packs 1GB RAM and is backed by a 700mAh battery. Other specs are similar to the standard version of the smartwatch that includes 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, 4GB internal storage and IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance. It comes in polished silver finish.
