HTC Sends Out Invites For Event in China, could launch the HTC One E9
HTC has sent out press invites for an event in China. The invitation is shaped as fancy metal plates and reads “HTC Because you will be born for you 2015.3.11 – 3.17”. This clearly means that the event will take place on March 11. It is less clear what "3:17" refers to. It could the time, the event will start or could be some sort of HTC festival that will runs for about a week from March 11 until March 17.
HTC is likely to announce the HTC One M9 Plus or the HTC One E9. Both devices have leaked on a number of occasions. Earlier today the HTC One E9 passed through TENNA, so, it's pretty official that HTC will announce the One E9. A chinese version of HTC One Sense is also expected to make an appearance in the event.
HTC One M9 Plus is a bigger version of the newly announced One M9 with slightly better hardware and a larger display. It is expected to feature a 5.2-inch QHD display. The One M9 Plus is said to feature a MediaTek MT6795 chipset.
The specs of HTC One E9 as revealed by TENNA includes plastic body and a 5.5 QHD display with screen resolution of 1400x2560. Other specs listed include MediaTek MT6795 processor with an octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor, PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 20-megapixel rear camera, 4-Ultrapixel front camera, BoomSound front facing speakers and 3000mAh battery. It will runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC Sense 7.0 on top.
The HTC One E9 measures 156.5x76.5x7.5mm. It will offer dual-SIM standby capability and will come in range of flashy colours that include White Rose Gold, Metallic Grey, and Brown Gold.
