Samsung tablet with 4GB RAM and Intel processor spotted on Geekbench
A mysterious high end Samsung tablet codenamed 'CHOPIN-LTE' has been spotted on Geekbench's database.
As per the listing, Samsung 'CHOPIN-LTE houses 64-bit Intel Atom x5-8500 processor that is based on company's 14nm Cherry trail platform with four cores clocked at 2.24GHz as well as 8th-generation intel graphics. Usually Samsung tablets are powered by ARM-based processors, so this comes as a pleasant surprise.
The tablet packs a massive 4GB RAM and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. Also considering the codename, the tablet supports LTE connectivity. It scores 1005 points in the single-core test and 3425 points in the multi-core test, suggesting performance similar to that of Galaxy Note 4.
Other details like display, camera, storage, battery, etc are still a mystery. However, it's safe to consider the Samsung CHOPIN LTE a high end tablet due to the massive 4GB RAM it packs.
