Microsoft Lumia 940 XL with Snapdragon 810 SoC gets benchmarked
Microsoft is readying two new Windows 10 running flagship devices dubbed Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL which will launched later this year.
One of the device Lumia 940 XL made a trip through the GFXBench benchmark site revealing hardware information. As per the listing, the Lumia 940 XL with model number RM-1100 will run Windows Phone (probably Windows 10 Mobile) OS and will sport a 5.7-inch QHD (1,440 x 2,560 pixels) display.
It will be powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which is confirmed by the presence of Adreno 430 GPU. The Snapdragon 810 has been blamed for overheating issues, hopefully on Windows Phone this will be less of a problem.
The Lumia 940 XL comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal store. Camera features inlcude 20-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Th rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos.
The Lumia 940XL will be the first top of the line phablet to runs Windows 10 Mobile. Other rumored specs include USB Type-C connector, Iris scanning tech and 3300mAh battery.
The Lumia 940 is rumored to have an 5.2-inch 1080p display and will pack Pureview Camera sensor with OIS.
As of now there is no details on their launch, but we can expect it to go official at IFA 2015.
