Motorola schedules event for July 28, promises big announcements

Motorola has sent out invites for launch events in New York, Sao Paulo and London. on July 28. The company has also sent out invites for an event in New Delhi, India scheduled on the same day. We can expect the third-gen Moto X and Moto G to be announced.

The New York, Sao Paulo and London invites read "Your relationship status is about to change. XGX Moto" while the India invite reads"A good friend will offer you their umbrella when it rains. A best friend will forever be ready to dance in the rain with you.".

The India invite points towards a water proof device which could be the Moto G 2015. As for New York, Sao Paulo and London we can expect the Moto X 2015 and Droid smartphones. Nothing is official until announced.

The India event will be held first on July 28 at 3:30pm IST, followed by Sao Paulo at 9am BRT (5:30 IST), New York at 9am ET (6:30pm IST) and London at 2pm BST (6:30pm IST). The event will also be live streamed.

Motorola has also launched a micro-site which has the following text "Yes. We're in a relationship with our phone... We feel lost without it. The Moto X 2015 is rumored to feature 5.64-inch quad-HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, 16MP/5MP camera, USB Type-C port and 3280mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The Moto G 2015 is expected to come with 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE support 13MP/5MP camera, 8GB storage and 2300mAh battery. It will also run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
