Possible image of Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 leaked along with box and pricing
Possible image of Xiaomi's much-anticiapted Redmi Note 2 has been leaked online courtesy Chinese tipster @Kjuma. In addition, a photograph of the box that the Redmi Note 2 will come in also was leaked.
The image features the 'About' screen of the Redmi Note 2 and reveals that it runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with MIUI 6 on top and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. @kjuma claims that the Redmi Note 2 will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 processor. The device will be priced close to $177 (Rs. 11,300). A previous leak showed that the phone will be priced $128 (Rs. 8,100).
Last month the Redmi Note 2 was listed by China's TENAA and revealed there will be two version. One powered by MediaTek MT6795 processor and the other with Snadragon 615 processor. These could possibly come at different price points depending upon different regions.
As per TENAA listing, Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will have 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor with Power VR G6200 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with MIUI on to and supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, GPS connectivity. For imaging, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front shooter. It is backed by 3200mAh battery. It is likely to come in black, white, red, orange, yellow and green colors.
Xiaomi's Redmi Note 2 is rumored to be launched the same day the company introduces MIUI 7. That happens on August 13 in China.
