Huawei Watch's U.S pricing and availability announced at IFA, now available for pre-order

Huawei showed off its first Android Wear smartwatch at MWC earlier this year without sharing pricing and availability details. At IFA show in Berlin, Huawei revealed information of the pricing and availability of the Huawei Watch.

The Huawei Watch pre-order is now live at GetHuawei.com, Google Store, Amazon.com and BestBuy.com. Huawei will start shipping the smartwatch starting September 17 in the U.S. It comes in Gold, Silver and Black colors with stainless steel and leather band options.

Huawei Watch prices start at $349 and goes up to $799. They are as follows:

  • Stainless Steel watch body & Stainless Steel Mesh - $399
  • Black DLC-coated Stainless Steel & Black Link Bracelet - $449
  • Rose Gold-plated Stainless Steel & Alligator-pressed Brown Leather - $699
  • Rose Gold-plated Stainless Steel & Rose Gold-plated Link Bracelet - $799
The stainless steel and black models of the Huawei Watch are available for pre-order now, while the rose gold models will be available later this year.

Huawei Watch runs Android Wear OS version 1.3 and is compatible with Android devices (Android 4.3 and later) and iOS devices (iOS 8.2 and later).

It features a 1.4-inch AMOLED display with 400x400 pixels screen resolution with scratch-proof sapphire crystal lens. It has 10,000:1 high contrast ratio offering 42mm diameter design. Inside there is an 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB eMMC storage. It has a built in hear-rate monitor, 6-Axis motion sensors  that automatically detects your activity like walking, cycling and running. and a barometer. 

The Huawei Watch has over 40 watch faces and is made of more than 130 components, sports a crown, frame and hinge that is built from high quality and scratch resistant cold-forged stainless steel which makes it 40 percent harder. It is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. Fueling the smartwatch is a 300mAh battery and supports fast charging technology which offers up to 80 percent battery life in just 45 minutes or 75 minutes for a full charge.
