Microsoft Lumia 550 Windows 10 Mobile with 4.7-inch display, LTE leaks online
Ahead of Microsoft's October 6 event, details of an upcoming low-end Lumia device, codenamed 'Saimaa' with model number 'RM-1127' surfaced online. The phone is expected to launch as Lumia 550 and will run Windows 10 Mobile. The device is listed on at one of the company's European distribution partners. The listing on the site reveals that it will priced around Rs. 7,800.
Windows Central reports that it has seen the Lumia 550 in flesh and describe it be looking exactly like the Lumia 640 (pictured above). According to Daniel Rubino, editor-in-chief of WC, the Lumia 640 will be the Microsoft's last 6xx-series device.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 is said to sport a Glossy White or Black Polycarbonate body, with metal accents around the display and the speakers sit at the lower left corner in the back. It have on-screen navigation keys.
Microsoft Lumia 550 will have 4.7-inch HD AMOLED display and will be powered by 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable inbuilt storage. For imaging there is 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front shooter, both aided by LED flash. The device supports 4G LTE and will run Windows 10 Mobile.
Microsoft has scheduled a press event on October 6 in New York, where it will reportedly unveil the Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagship devices along with Surface Pro 4 tablet and Microsoft Band 2. The Lumia 550 might also be unveiled at the same event.
