Xcode reveals iPhone 6s, 6s Plus to have 2GB RAM, iPad Pro 4GB RAM

During Apple's event in San Fransisco, the company didn't disclose how much RAM, the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPad Pro have. Last week, it was reported that iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have 2GB RAM while iPad Pro packed 4GB. These specs have now been confirmed.

Apple iOS development tool Xcode have confirmed the amount of RAM of iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPad Pro. Hamza Sood, an iOS developer discovered the results. He posted images from Xcode on his twitter account.

The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have 2GB RAM, a bump front the 1GB RAM from previous gen Apple devices including, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The 2GB RAM on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus would help users to more smoothly multi task between apps and in capturing 4K UHD videos.

While the result also confirms that iPad Pro has 4GB RAM. This information was already accidentally revealed by Adobe last week via Press release, but later removed it. The 4GB RAM on the iPad Pro makes sense as device has split screen multi-tasking with iOS 9, which allows multiple programs to run side by side.
