Airtel, Vodafone to offer iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus with free data plans in India

Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will launch in India on October 16.  Ahead of the launch, Airtel has announced that it will also offer the new iPhones at it stores in the country.

Airtel will offer the new iPhones from October 16 through 235 retail outlets across the country. Since iPhones launch at midnight 57 of its retail stores will stay open all night. Airtel has already started taking pre-orders for the new iPhones at its stores. You can check out the list of Airtel shops in airtel.in/apple. Users can experience and purchase the devices through these outlets.

Airtel also announced new iPhone Infinity plans in India, offering 60GB of free 4G data over 12 months or 5GB of free 4G data per month for 12 months for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. This saves customers Rs. 15,000 on their monthly bill. Customers who subscribe for any of the Inifinity plans need to visit offers.airtel.in from their new iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus to activate the offer.

Vodafone will also offer the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus from October 16 wherein customers can avail free data and voice benefits worth Rs 8,885 for six months.

“Existing or new Vodafone customers can buy a new iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus and get a fully built Vodafone RED 1,299 worry-free plan free for six months from the time of purchase,” said the company in a statement. The plan includes 3GB mobile Internet, 4,000 free local and STD minutes and 1,500 local and national SMS. The  charges above plan limits will be 50p/MB for data usage, 50p/SMS and 50p/min for voice calls. Roaming, international calling and VAS charges will be extra as applicable, it added.

In India, the iPhone 6s has been priced at Rs 62,000, Rs 72,000 and Rs 82,000 for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants respectively. The iPhone 6s Plus costs Rs 72,000, Rs 82,000 and Rs 92,000 respectively for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models.
