Five Sony Xperia devices will get Android 6.0 directly skipping Android 5.1.1

Sony has already rolled out Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for most of its Xperia devices. However, some devices are yet to receive the Android 5.1.1 update. Now Sony Mobile Support Page has confirmed that these devices will not get the Android 5.1.1 update, but will straight get a bump to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Xperia devices that will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update directly from Android 5.0 Lollipop update include Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 tablet, Xperia C4, Xperia C5 Ultra, Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia M5. These also include the dual-SIM variants as well.

The above said Xperia devices users, will have to wait for few months to get the next major update.  It is also being said that Xperia Z4 tablet will get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in January 2016.
