Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet is up for pre-order at $300
The Acer Predator 8 GT-810 Android gaming tablet that was announced at IFA 2015 in September is now available for pre-order in the U.S for $300 from the Acer Store, Newegg, and TigerDirect, among other places.
The Predator 8 tablet features 8-inch Full HD (1080p) display and is equipped with Intel Atom x7 processor Z8700 Cherry Trail processor with Intel’s Gen8 graphics architecture, 2GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB on-board storage which can be expanded via microSD card.
For imaging there is 5-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front shooter. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and for connectivity there is 2x2 MIMO wireless technology, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0 port with SlimPort support for video output. A 4550mAh battery keeps the tablet running for 8.5 hours on a single charge.The tablet sports a has a lightweight aluminum body, is 8.7mm thin and weighs 350 grams.
The tablet has four front facing speakers that are controlled with Acer's own DSP algorithm which will 'enhance sound quality with virtual surround'. It also comes with Predator Quadio and Dolby Audio. It also comes with TacSense technology that provides vibrations for a more immersive gaming experience.
