Movado, HP partner for 'Bold Motion' smartwatch
Last year, HP collaborated with fashion designer Michael Bastian to introduce the HP MB Chronowing smartwatch. This year HP has worked closely with Swiss watchmaker Movado to launch the Bold Motion smartwatch. It comes with the "Engineered by HP" moniker and doesn’t have a screen, but works pretty much like an analog watch.
The HP Bold Motion bears a 44mm stainless steel case and comes with a black silicon strap. It is water resistant for up to 50 meters and has a battery life of one week.
Being a analog watch, it still functions like a smartwatch by alerting you of texts, calls, emails, appointments and more through the circular LED rings at the 12 o' clock position. It can also keep track of your steps and and allows users to set daily fitness goals via the companion app. The circular LED ring and the round black dial glows in aqua color. It also alerts users via vibrations and visual cues about notifications
Since, the smartwatch doesn't feature a screen, most of the features are controlled via a companion app that is available for Android and iOS devices. The smartwatch pairs with the compatible devices via Bluetooth.
The Bold Motion is priced at $695 (Rs. 45,000) and will go on sale in the U.S during the holiday season.
