6-inch Samsung Galaxy A9 gets certified by TENAA
After showing itself in leaked press materials, the Samsung Galaxy A9 with model number SM-A9000 has been certified by Chinese certification and regulatory authority TENAA, confirming most of the specs.
As per TENAA listing, the Samsung Galaxy A9 sports a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED display and is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core (should be SD-620) SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. In terms of camera, the handset features 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera.
It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, measures 161.7 x 80.9 x 7.4mm, weighs 200g and comes in Gold and White colors. The Galaxy A9 sports a metal body and has a fingerprint scanner. It is fueled by 4000mAh battery and supports fast charge, although this was revealed via leaked press materials.
There's no word when the Galaxy A9 is going to be released (besides China). Last week, the Samsung Galaxy A9 was approved by the FCC so we can expect the device to be released in the US.
