Samsung Galaxy A9 to be priced around $500 in China

Samsung recently outed the 6-inch Galaxy A9, its top-end Galaxy 'A' series smartphone. At the time of announcement Samsung did not reveal the pricing or the release date of the Galaxy A9. However, a new leak reveals the pricing of the smartphone, suggesting that the Galaxy A9 will cost CNY 3199 in China which is roughly $494 and Rs. 33,000 at today's exchange rate. Unfortunately, the availability details are still not known.

The high price may be due to its Galaxy S6-like metal frame and glass body design and features including the huge 6-inch AMOLED display and the fingerprint scanner. Samsung is yet to announce the official pricing of the Galaxy A9.

The specification of Samsung Galaxy A9 include 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC with Adreno 510 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB expandable storage, 13-megapixel rear camera (w/ LED flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture), 8-megapixel front facing camera, Dual Hybrid SIM slot, fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, Android 5.1 Lollipop and 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support.
