Kernel source code reveals Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) specifications


We already know that Samsung is working on the 2016 edition of Galaxy J series. The Galaxy J1 (2016) is already available in the U.A.E, while the J5 (2016) and J7 (2016) were spotted at bench-marking websites outing key specs. Now, more information of the Galaxy J7 (2016) have surfaced via a leaked kernel source code

The kernel source code reveals that the Galaxy J7 (2016) will have a 1080p display, which is mostly 5.5-inch in size and equipped Snapdragon 650 SoC, 13-megapixel rear camera with Samsung S5K3L2XX sensonr and 5-megapixel front snapper with Samasung S5K5E3YX sensor, 1.1um pixels and 23mm f/2,2 lens. Other features revealed are fingerprint sensor, microSD card support and a 4300mAh battery.

Most of the specifications mentioned above, fall in line with the specs revealed by the benchmark test results, however, the benchmark result revealed that the Galaxy J7 (2016) to have a Snapdragon 615 SoC. This could be because, the device was prototype and Samsung is making improvements before they release the final product. Other possible specs include 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, NFC connectivity for Samsung Pay support.
