Possible Asus ZenFone 3 variants appears on benchmark listing
The Asus ZenFone 2 series was one of the popular budget smartphones of 2015. Now, Asus is reportedly working on third generation of ZenFone lineup, as potential variants of ZenFone 3 with model numbers Z010DD and Z012D have been spotted at GFXBench listing revealing specifications of the handsets.
As per the listing, the Asus Z010DD will have a 5.9-inch HD display, octa-core Snapdragon 615 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front shooter. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will possibly feature ZenUI on top.
The Asus Z012D will have a smaller 5.5-inch Full HD display and equipped with 1.7GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 650 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
According to earlier reports, the ZenFone 3 family will be the brand's first set of smartphones to sport fingerprint sensors and USB Type-C ports. Like last year's ZenFone 2 series, we can expect Asus to aggressively price the devices, which could be between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000. The launch is expected in the first half of 2016.
