Sony introduces Pink color variant of Xperia Z5

The Sony Xperia Z5 was available in Black, Green and White colors upon its release, and now the Japanese tech giant has introduced a Pink color variant of the Xperia Z5. It will be available starting from February, just in time for valentines day. The pricing is yet to be revealed.

Sony says that the 'warm, sophisticated pink' variant of Xperia Z5 sports the same frosted glass panel and metal framing as the exisisting phone, while the screen bezel remains black. Apart from the color, nothing else has changed, the specifications will remain the same.
"Choosing a colour is a detailed process. The material of the phone and the design of the curves and edges play an important role and has a great impact on which colour is best suited. We knew we wanted to add pink to the Z5 series from our very first moodboards and sketches as it seemed to compliment the colour palette to the rest of the range.
But to get the tone right with the frosted glass and aluminium frame did take some time. We researched many places in which the most beautiful shades of pink can be found, from nature and Japan’s own Sakura cherry blossom right through to the colours in the sky during a beautiful sunset. We wanted the colour to appear strong and modern, and here the material is playing an important role. I feel what we have achieved with the light dusky pink is fresh, contemporary and modern in the Z5 materials."
said Sony Lead designer Rikke Gertsen Constein in a company blog post.

To remind you the Sony Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080p) display and is equipped with Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage (up to 2TB). For photography, there is a 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS 23-megapixel camera sensor with aperture f/2.0, Sony G Lens, Hybrid AF speed of 0.03s and can record 4K videos. Front snapper is 5-megapixel. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and is fueled by 2900mAh battery. Also on-board is a fingerprint sensor that is integrated into the power button and the device is IPX5 / IPX8 rated for dust and water resistance.
