Microsoft Lumia 650 gets official: Windows 10 Mobile for Under $200
Microsoft has officially announced its latest Windows 10 Mobile device, the Lumia 650. The main highlight of the Lumia 650 is the aluminum frame, giving it a premium feel. The phone will be available in Single and dual-SIM variants.
The Microsoft Lumia 650 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED ClearBlack display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 212 processor with 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 200GB.
For photography, the Lumia 650 is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Both front an rear camera can record 720p videos. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS. It is fueled by 2000mAh battery.
Since it runs Windows 10 Mobile, the Lumia 650 will come pre-loaded with Microsoft suite of productivity apps including Office apps (Word, Excel, Power Point, OneNote), for creating and editing documents on-the-go; OneDrive, for cloud storage, and Cortana, Microsoft's personal assistant.
The Lumia 650 will be available for purchase in seleect European markets starting February 18 for under $199 (Rs. 13,500), before local taxes and subsidies. It comes in matte black and matte white colors. As for the Indian market, the dual SIM variant of Lumia 650 is listed on Microsoft India website. Unfortunately there is not pricing and availability details.
