Motorola Moto G 2014 starts receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in India
Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto G 2014 [Both 3G & 4G LTE variant) in India. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update v24.41.34 is rolling out over-the-air. The update package weighs 464.2MB in size, and also included the Android security update for January 2016.
The new update brings Doze, Google Now on Tap, app permissions, ability to extend internal storage through the SD card, and more. The entire change-log is available here
To recap, Motorola launched the Moto G 2014 in India running Android 4.4 KitKat, and received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update back in January last year. The handset did not get Android 5.1 Lollipop update is now directly being upgraded to Marshmallow.
The Moto G 2015, Moto G Turbo Edition, Moto X Style and Moto X Play, have already been treated to Android's latest flavor in the country.
