Apple announces March 21 event: iPhone SE, 9.7-inch iPad Pro expected
It's official. Apple has confirmed that it is hosting an event on March 21, where a 4-inch iPhone called iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablet are expected to be launched.
The event will start at 10am Pacific Time (PT) [11:30pm - in India) and will take place at Apple's 1 Infinite Loop Campus. Apple will also live stream the whole event and iOS, Mac, Apple TV, Windows 10 (Microsoft Edge) users will be able to experience the unveiling of new products.
As for the details of 4-inch iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablet, we have no shortage of leaks and rumors.
The iPhone SE is expected to have a design similar to iPhone 5s with slightly curved edges, but will iPhone 6s/6s Plus specifications. The iPhone SE will be equipped with A9 Chip, 12-megapixel camera, Apple Play, Live Photos and a 1642mAh battery. It is expected to cost around $400 to $500.
The iPad Pro mini will have a 9.7-inch display, A9X SoC, 12-megapixel rear camera (same sensor as iPhone 6s) capable of recording 4K videos, four speaker setup, Apple Pencil support and Smart Connector to connect accessories (Keyboard).
Also expected at the event is new band color options for the Apple Watch, including new bands from Hermes, a French company that produces fashion-centric luxury accessories a Space Black variant of the Milanese Loop, and some other bands made of a new material.
Apple will also likely debut the iOS 9.3, OS X 10.11.4, watch OS 2.2, tvOS 2.2 at the event and also reveal the roll out details at the event.
