Apple to revamp iPhone lineup in 2017, will switch to AMOLED screen

Apple has big plans for its entire iPhone lineup in 2017. According to reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple will revamp its 2017 iPhone lineup, including a new design and an AMOLED display.

According to Kuo, in 2017, Apple will release a new iPhone model with glass casing and an AMOLED display. It will sport a design similar to iPhone 4/4s, but will have curved display and a curved glass body on the front and back with metal on sides. The current iPhone lineup has aluminium body.

He also states that Apple will release a bigger 5.8-inch model of iPhone, which will have narrow bezels and different case design.

Kuo  further adds that if Apple is able to produce enough of 5.8-inch AMOLED display, it will entirely replace the 5.5-inch model. This means if the demand is met Apple's 2017 iPhone line up will include a 4.7-inch LCD and 5.8-inch AMOLED models.

Lastly Kuo says the 2017 iPhone lineup will support wireless charging and feature some kind of biometric technology like face recognition or iris scanner.
