Apple Watch gets new Watchbands and $50 price cut


Apple at its event in Cupertino, announced a price cut for Apple Watch, which will now cost $299, down from $349 in the U.S.  Apple also introduced new watchbands for the Apple Watch.

There are a number of new Apple Watch Sports and Leather bands that come with new colors, along with Woven Nylon bands that feature four layer construction that comes in seven color options - Gold/Red, Gold/Royal Blue, Royal Blue, Pink, Pearl, Scuba Blue and Black. The bands are priced at $50.

Apple also announced a Space-Black Milanese loop watch band. The company is calling the new collections of the bands as "Spring line-up"

At the event, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that changing bands is a popular trend amongst Apple Watch users, and about one third of them regular change their bands. He also said that the Apple Watch is the best selling smartwatch in the world.
