Huaweri P9 launch date set for April 6 in London
Earlier rumors of Huawei P9 launch date have been confirmed as Huawei has sent out invites for April 6 event in London, where it will announce its upcoming flagship P9. The invite has a #00 image followed by the tagline "Change the way you see the world" which could relate to the P9's dual-camera setup that is said to come with Leica lenses.
Huawei is expected to launch four variants of P9 which includes P9 (standard model), P9 Lite, P9 Max and enhanced version of P9.
The P9 Lite will be equipped with Snapdragon 650 SoC/2GB RAM/16GB storage, the P9 standard with have Kirin 950 SoC/3GB RAM/32GB storage, P9 Max will have 6-inch display and equipped with Kirin 955 SoC/4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. The P9 higher end model will have a screen size larger than P9, but smaller than P9 Max and will be equipped with Kirin 955 SoC/4GB RAM/64GB storage.
Other rumored features include 12-megapixel dual-rear camera w/ Leica lenses, laser auto focus and dual LED flash, 8-megapixel front camera and USB Type-C support.
As the date gets closer we should get treated to numerous leaks and rumors, however, all the official details of the P9 (and its lineup) related specs, pricing and availability details will be known on April 6.
