LeEco Le 2 might get Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner

Earlier this month LeEco's Le 2 surfaced in leaked image, and now the China based smartphone maker has started teasing the Le 2. The teaser suggests that the Le 2 will pack Qualcomm's Ultrasonic Fingerprint scanner which sports Send ID technology.

With ultrasonic method , the handset can detect fingerprints even  when your fingers are dirty or wet. So unlike regular fingerprint sensor, this can be implemented beneath glass and plastic. This lets smartphone manufacturer place the fingerprint scanner below the display, so the whole display becomes fingerprint scanning sensor. This technology is already employed in LeEco's flagship, the LeMax Pro powered by Snapdragon 820.

Note that it is not known whether the teaser image is of Le 2 or some other devices, as the teaser does not mention the device name, but reports claim the teaser to be of Le 2.

The LeEco Le 2 is likely to sport a metal body, and as per rumors, it will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC or MediaTek Helio X20 SoC clubbed with 4GB RAM. It will also get USB Type-C port, 21-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera.
