Xiaomi starts rolling out MIUI 7.2 China stable build

Following the roll out of MIUI 7.1, Xiaomi recently pushed MIUI 7.2 update to a couple of devices including Mi 4s, Mi 4, Mi 4c, Mi Note Pro, Redmi Note 4G (Single SIM), Mi Pad and Redmi 1S, that were part of the first batch.

Now, Xiaomi is rolling out the MIUI 7.1 for its second batch of devices, that include Mi 3, Mi Note, Mi 4, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Mi Pad 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3, Redmi Note 4 (Dual SIM), Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2A.

Note that the update is being rolled out to the Chinese variants of the devices, and the global roll out is expected to happen soon. If you own a Xiaomi device mentioned above, an OTA alert will arrive soon via the Updater App. If you do not want to wait you can manually download the update from the MIUI website.

Optimization – ‘Forgot password’ option will show after entering wrong password for private folder repeatedly
Optimization – A confirmation prompt will show before setting a folder as private
Optimization – Optimized search function to show more information of search results
Fix – Unrecognizable file names after ZIP files are decompressed
Fix – Private folders could not be decrypted 

Data Usage
Optimization – Data connection will be disabled if extra data plan is also used up after the original data plan reached its limit 

Mi Drop
Fix – Status bar always showed 0% when receiving files using Mi Drop
