Android Marshmallow based Cyanogen OS 13 for OnePlus One in final testing stage

Last year OnePlus revealed that the OnePlus One will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in Q1 2016 along with the OnePlus 2. However a few days back OnePlus released OxygenOS 3.0 Beta based on Android 6.0.1 for the OnePlus 2.

Now OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed (source) that OnePlus One will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the form of Cyanogen OS 13 "very soon", as it is in the final testing stage. Unfortunately he did not mention when the update will be rolled out, since its depends on Cyanogen as well.

The OnePlus One is getting Android Marshmallow in the form of Cyanogen OS 13, and not Oxygen OS 3.0, as OnePlus One ships with Cyanogen OS, and the update will be pushed by Cyanogen. However we can expect OnePlus to release OxygenOS 3.0 ROM for the OnePlus One in the near future.

It is not known when the OnePlus X will receive Android Marshmallow, but OnePlus last year said that it is working hard to bring Android M to the device. Just  a few hours back the OnePlus X received OxygenOS 2.2.1 update.
