Honor V8 with dual-camera setup to launch on May 10, possible specs are out
Huawei, earlier this month launched the flagship P9 and P9 Plus with dual rear camera setup. Now, the company's sub-brand Honor is taking cue from Huawei for their upcoming smartphone. Honor has scheduled an event in China on May 10, where the brand will launch V8 smartphone with dual rear camera setup, just like the P9, but sans Leica lens.
As for the specs, the Honor V8 is rumored to get two 12-megapixel rear units and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display and powered by Kirin 950 SoC backed by 4GB RAM. Other rumored features include fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and 3000mAh battery. The V8 is expected to be priced at CNY 2,000 ($308 | Rs. 20,000).
Honor is expected to release the successor of Honor 7i, the Honor 8i at the same event as well. The phone will have an unique flip camera design of its predecessor, and will be aimed at women. Ahead of V8 launch, Honor will unveil the mid-range Honor 5C in China on April 28.
