Motorola schedules launch event in India on May 17


Motorola, which is now owned by Lenovo has sent out invites for an event in New Delhi on May 17. The invite doesn’t mention what the company may launch during the event, but according to media reports the launch of Moto G4 is expected. We can also expect the launch of Moto E 2016.

Just like its predecessor, the Moto G3, the Moto G4 is also likely to have two variants, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. But this time the difference between the Moto G4 and G4 Plus will not be limited to RAM and storage.

The Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are expected to feature 5.5-inch display and 16GB internal storage. However, Moto G4 will have a 13MP rear camera unit, while the Moto G4 Plus will have a 16MP rear camera unit as well as fingerprint scanner on the back. It is not known, whether the Moto G4 will get a fingerprint scanner or not.

As for Moto E 2016, the handset is expected to come with 5-inch 720p display, MediaTek MT6735P SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 8MP/5MP cameras, 4G LTE, Android Marshmallow. 

The Moto G/E series have been one of the most important phone for Motorola, since it is the best-selling phone from the company and have enough fan following, due to the clean Android experience, Motorola offers at a reasonable price. The expectations will be very high from Moto G4 and Moto E 2016 as well.
