Samsung Galaxy Note6 new details: To release in Europe, 5.8-inch display, IP68 certification, 6GB RAM in tow

The next big product from Samsung Mobiles camp is the Galaxy Note6 and the rumor mill focus is on this phablet. Earlier rumors have suggested that the Galaxy Note6 will pack Snapdragon 823 SoC, 6GB RAM and ship with Android N, and now we have some more details.

Last year, there was quite a stir when when Samsung decided not to launch the Galaxy Note5 in some markets. While U.S and India got both Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note5, the European continent didn't receive the Galaxy Note5, instead got only the Galaxy S6 edge+.

Now according to a new leaked listing that reveals the model numbers of Galaxy Note6 for various regions reveals that the Galaxy Note6 will be released in Europe.

Samsung is also simplifying various region/carrier based model. The listing  reveals that the model number for all major U.S carriers will be the same Verizon (SM-N930U_NA_VZW), AT&T (SM-N930U_NA_ATT), T-Mobile (SM-N930U_NA_TMB) and Sprint (SM-N930U_NA_SPR). India and South East Asian countries will also have the same model number, N930FD.

To recall the Galaxy S7/S7 edge had the same model number for most of the unlocked variants to simplify things, and the company has similar plans for Galaxy Note6. The advantage of having same model numbers across different markets is that Samsung can push updates faster than before, instead of rolling in phases and keeping users waited for weeks. The Galaxy Note6 will also come in dual-SIM and single-SIM variants depending on market.

Meanwhile, PhoneArena has got hold of a CPU-Z screenshot of Galaxy Note 6. As per CPU-Z, the Galaxy Note6 will carry the model number SM-N930 and have 5.77-inch display with 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution. It also reveals that Galaxy Note6 will be equipped with Samsung's Exynos  6GB RAM and 32GB native storage.

The website citing sources reports that design-wise, Galaxy Note6 will be similar to Galaxy S7 and Galaxy Note5, backed by 3700mAh battery and have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, which will be a first in Galaxy Note series. The report also adds that Galaxy Note6 is currently running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but will ship with Android N if available in time. It also mentions that "Samsung and Google are in talks to determine if that is a possibility."

If rumors are to believed the Samsung Galaxy Note6 will have an iris scanner and is expected to be officially unveiled in July
