The firmware carries the build number 23.5.A.0.570, which is same build number as the recent beta version, and brings the OS version of these smartphone to the latest 6.0.1. The update includes enhanced privacy settings, Camera 2.0 user interface (same as Xperia Z5), and February Android security patch as well.

New features in Android Marshmallow update
  • Enhanced privacy settings: mange and control your application data permissions.
  • All new camera interface: switch between modes and customise settings with simple gestures.
  • Smart battery life: do more for longer, with Doze and App Standby.
  • Xperia Messaging: express yourself and get creative with easy in-app access to Stickers.
