Samsung Galaxy Note 6 expected to launch in mid-August

Ealier reports have mentioned that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Note 6 in July. Now Evan Blass (@evleaks) has sent out a tweet stating that Galaxy Note 6 will be released in the U.S in the week of August 15. This is not surprising, since the Galaxy Note5 was also launched in August.

Current rumors suggest that Galaxy Note 6 will be water resistant and have 5.8-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560) display. It will be equipped with Snapdragon 823 SoC, 6GB RAM, 256 storage, 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera (same as Galaxy S7/S7 edge), microSD card slot, USB Type-C port and 4000mAh battery. It is also being rumored that Samsung will release a new Gear VR headset alongside Note 6.

In addition to the regular Galaxy Note 6, Samsung plans to release a lite variant of the phablet, which could feature 5.8-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB RAM. Both versions will come with S Pen styluses, since it is one of the defining feature of the Galaxy Note series.
