Gionee to launch S6 Pro on June 13

Gionee, known for it slim smartphone launched the 6.9mm slim metal clad Gionee S6 in China last year, and also made its way to the Indian market earlier this year in January for Rs. 19,999. Now the Chinese smartphone maker is all set to launch an upgraded variant of the S6, the S6 Pro in China on June 13.

Ahead of the launch, the S6 Pro has been spotted TENAA, revealing specs and photos. The photos outed by TENAA reveals the S6 Pro to have a home button, which could double as fingerprint scanner. To recap, the S6 did not have home button or a fingerprint scanner.

As per TENAA listing most of specs of S6 Pro are same as S6, but the difference is in the processor. While the S6 came with MediaTek processor, the S6 Pro will utilize Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 chip.

As for other detils, just like the S6, the S6 Pro will also flaunt a metal unibody design and the specs listed on TENAA include 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB inbuilt expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, USB Type-C and 3130mAh battery. It will run Android Marshmallow.
