Now you can view and post 360-degree photos on Facebook
Facebook has introduced a new feature that will let you upload and view 360-degrees photos in the News Feed. Now after capturing a panorama or 360-degrees photo with your smartphone camera (using 360 photo app), you can post the photo directly to the social network, where it will be converted into a 360 image that can be viewed on PC or smartphone.
You will be able to identify these photos by the compass icon floating on the top right corner of the image. To explore the 360 photo on smartphone, just tap and drag the photo or you can move your phone, and on web just click and drag using the mouse.
Along with 360 photos from your friends and family, you can also discover 360 photos on Facebook from public figures, publishers and others.
The 360-degree photos are compatible with Oculus Rift and Gear VR. If you use a Samsung device and Gear VR headset, you can top on the 'View in VR' button on the top-left corner to view the 360-degree photo.
360 photos (from partners) are now available to view on Facebook via the web and the latest version of the Facebook app on iOS and Android. However you will have to wait for a few days to upload your own contents.
