LeEco to launch smart TVs in India on August 4

LeEco entered Indian smartphone market in January this year with Le 1s and Le Max smartphones. The Chinese tech giant also launched the Le 2 and Le Max 2 in the country in June. Now the company is all set to foray into the country's TV market with its range of Super TVs. LeEco has scheduled an event on August 4, where it is expected to launch its smart TV range.

In April, LeEco introduced its range of Android Marshmallow smart TVs with 1080p and 4K 50-inch screen options. The TVs come with metallic frame design, quad-core processor (one TV model with Snapdragon 810), 3GB RAM, up to 32GB internal storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDR support and Harman Kardon audio. They are also expected to come pre-loaded with LeEco's content ecosystem which was introduced with Le 1s Eco in May. The prices start at CNY 2499, which is around INR 25,000.

LeEco TVs are likely to give serious competition with the newly launched TCL TVs, and TVs from domestic players including Micromax, Intex, Videocon among other.

Just a few days back the company acquired U.S TV brand Vizio for $2 billion to strengthen it's position in U.S and global market.
