NVIDIA unveils $1200 Pascal-based Titan X graphics card

NVIDIA has introduced a new powerful high-end TITAN X graphics card based on NVIDIA's latest Pascal architecture and is calling it as "the biggest GPU ever built". NVIDIA claims that the Titan X offers 60 percent faster performance than its predecessor GTX Titan X.

The Titan X boasts 128GB GDDR5X video memory on a 384-bit memory bus and 3,584 CUDA cores running at 1513MHz. The graphic card offers 11 teraflops performance. For comparison GTX 1080 offers 8.9 teraflops of performance.

It has 12 billion transistors and is based on GP102 GPU. It consumes 250W power load and includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b and DL-DVI ports. The card is 10.5-inches tall and for dissipating heat uses vapor chamber cooling technology.

The NVIDIA Titan X is priced at a whooping $1200 (Rs. 80,530) and will be available for purchase starting August 2 in North Ameria and Europe. It will also make its way to Asia soon, but the exact launch details are not known.
