Oppo F1s selfie expert launch on August 3

Earlier this year, Oppo launched the selfie-centric Oppo F1 in India for Rs. 15,990. Now the China based smartphone maker has announced that it will launch its successor, the F1s on August 3.

Oppo says that F1s will be the company' core product for the second half of 2016, and will carry on the F1's legacy of superb photography, slim design and snappy performance, as well as come with new features. Unfortunately, details about its specs are not known yet.

According to IDC, Oppo is the fourth largest smartphone brand globally in Q1 2016 and the company gives credit to Oppo F1 on achieving this feat. Oppo says that the F1 took the top spot in the $225 to $300 price range segment in India, Indonesia and Vietnam this May, and grabbed second spot in Thailand and Malaysia.

To recap the specs, the Oppo F1 offered 7.25mm metal body, 5-inch HD 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 display, Snapdragon 616 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP selfie camera (with screen flash), 4G LTE, Android Lollipop and 2500mAh battery.
