Xiaomi Redmi 3S coming soon to India
Xiaomi's next smartphone offering for the Indian market will be targeted at the sub- Rs. 10,000 budget segment. Dubbed Redmi 3S, the official announcement is expected as early as next week.
The Redmi 3S was launched in China last month starting at CNY 699 (Rs. 7,000) for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage model and CNY 899 (Rs. 9,165) for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage model, so we can expect the Indian pricing to be below Rs. 8,000.
As for the other specs, the Redmi 3S has 5-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 430 SoC, microSD card slot, hybrid dual SIM slots, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 4G LTE. It runs MIUI 7 based on Android Marshmallow. It boasts metal body, fingerprint scanner and a massive 4100mAh battery.
So far this year, Xiaomi has launched the flagship Mi 5, the budget Redmi Note 3 and the giant 6.44-inch Mi Max in the country, all of which are selling like hot cakes. Unfortunately Redmi Note 3 has high-demand of the lot and most of the time is out of stock. Hope Xiaomi has enough stock of Redmi 3S to cover surges in demand.
