Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 to feature Touch ID power button, OLED touch-panel


Earlier reports had suggested that Apple's 2016 MacBook Pro line up will be slimmer and lighter, and the design will be similar to 12-inch MacBook . Now 9to5Mac citing reliable sources reports that the 2016 MacBook Pro lineup will have Touch ID power button and OLED touch-sensitive function keys.

The report says the Touch ID functionality will be baked into MacBook Pro's power button and will let users to wake MacBook Pro and authenticate its security with One Touch. Its working will be similar to unlocking current iPhone models.

The new MacBook Pro is rumored to come with 13-, 15-inch display (two models), Intel Skylake processor, AMD's new 400-series Polaris graphic cards and USB-C with embedded support for Thunderbolt 3. Apple will also be doing away with MagSafe charging port.

Apple's refreshed MacBook Pro models are expected to launch sometime in Q4 2016.
